Welcome to Little Learners Creche
Little Learners Creche is a community-based childcare service operating in the catchment area of Mulhuddart, Dublin 15. Our goal is to provide good-quality, child-centred, and affordable local childcare — enabling parents to access employment, training, or education opportunities with peace of mind.
We welcome families irrespective of economic, religious, or ethnic background. Our service is supported by public funding (Community Childcare Subvention Scheme) and part-financed under European Union structural support plans, showing our commitment to accessible childcare for the community.
Age Groups & Sessions
We cater to children aged 1 to 5 years, grouped into Wobblers, Toddlers, and Pre-School rooms. Our creche can accommodate up to 54 children in total.
Session types and hours:
- Full-Day Session: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Half-Day Session: 9:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM
- Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
We operate Monday to Friday, all year round, providing flexible childcare options for working parents, students, or those in training.

Child-Centred Learning & Play
Our Approach
At Little Learners Creche, we follow the High/Scope programme — a research-based early-learning approach designed to foster children’s independence, creativity, confidence, problem-solving skills, and social development.
What this means for your child:
Classrooms arranged into clearly defined interest-areas, giving children freedom to explore and choose activities.
Daily routines that include Plan – Do – Review cycles: children plan activities, carry them out, and reflect — promoting decision-making, responsibility, and self-expression.
Balanced daily schedule: active play, creative projects, social interaction, rest, meals — supporting physical, cognitive, emotional growth.
Support for all children, including those with additional needs — thanks to our Special Needs Assistant and trained team.
Meals, snacks and drinks provided; no need for parents to worry about daily food prep.
